It is the realization completely free of the official Training Course of spare time specializing in canteens for roma women by the Government of Catalonia. The aim of this course is the professional insertion of roma women without academic qualifications. The course last 308 hours: 158 hours of theoretical classes, 150 hours of practices (the practices will be carried out in schools and centers preferably in the women's area of residence) and finally, 25 hours for the report's elaboration. This course is given by an entity recognized to form spare time's instructors.
The course includes contents defined by the youth's general secretary of the Government of Catalonia and some of them related with Roma people, organized in modules: culture and history of the roma people, roma associativism and management/information technology given by our association. Drom Kotar Mestipen gives priority to the formation of all roma women and the formative level of women interested in the course will not be an obstacle to do it.
When women are not literate the written report will be replaced by an oral test. If there is more inscripcions than vacances, in the selection women with less academic qualifications will have priority because we consider that they have less opportunities of professional insertion. From the association we want roma women to participate actively in educational centers and to become, this way, positive references for roma and non roma children.
