WHAT IS IT?
Official course, delivered by Fundesplai and recognised by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Aimed at Roma women over 16 years of age.
Attendance to all the sessions of the course grants the certification of support monitor (or vetlladora), which allows to work in this position in schools and educational centres.
HOW DID IT ORIGINATE?
The Course of Vetlladores is a course that we started to offer in 2020.
After numerous courses of monitors, many of the Roma women who took part in them told us that they were interested in taking a course of this type and thus continuing their training. Once this need was detected, we contacted Fundesplai to ask for more information. Finally, in 2021 we started this course, of which we have already carried out 2 editions. To date, 35 Roma women have successfully passed the course.

The vetlladores, also known as school assistants, are professionals dedicated to the direct care of children with special educational needs during school hours.
